Prayer is a gift from God that all too many of us don’t take advantage of as much as we should. The opportunity to talk to God about what Is on our hearts is the reason He gave us this gift. The Power of Prayer
If you have read the bible, you have seen the power of prayer in the saving miracles of the Lord to remove our afflictions or provide us with the strength to endure. The first and most noticeable change resulting from prayer is our attitude. Our hearts are changed by our free will demonstration of a desire to share our lives with the Lord.
Whatever our reason for seeking the Lord’s presence, to light a candle at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, is to enjoin others in His holy city, to pray for intercession on our behalf. This is the place God calls home and someday he will return.

The candle represents our prayer to the Lord and we are showing our appreciation for the Holy Land chosen by God.
